Hey i'm Breanna Quan and i love perfumes. I've tried some major brand perfumes like Gucci, Prada as well as H&M.
Every single time i used one i was constantly thinking that Who made this fragrance? What's really in it?
This is where my curiosity got stuck.
If you're someone who wants to do more than just buy a bottle, Then this list is for you.
Top 3 Custom Perfume Workshops in Paris
A perfume workshop isn’t just a way to learn how to mix fragrances. It is actually a form of learning a new language.
You begin to notice details in fragrance that you previously didn't care about. Fragrance notes, layers, how the scent smells differently after 10 minutes.
After creating their own custom perfume formulas, many people will find regular store fragrances to be somewhat predictable!

#1 Le Studio des Parfums
Let's begin by looking at Le Studio des Parfums.
Le Studio des Parfums stands out due to its directness. There are no extras here. Upon entering, you can immediately dive into creating your fragrance.
You have immediate access to an incredible variety of raw materials. The instructor provides a variety of options including floral, woody, citrus and even some of the less common blends.
When you initially enter the room, the sheer amount of options may seem overwhelming.
After working through the instructional elements provided by the instructor, everything becomes much clearer.
I liked several things about this experience:
For the first time, you truly understand what each note (top, middle and base) represents.
There was ample opportunity for experimentation with no pressure.
Your guide felt personalized, as opposed to being from a script.
#2 Candora
Candora is now more about creating a fragrance that is truly yours.
It's all about expressing yourself rather than just learning from others.
If working with Le Studio des Parfums is similar to learning the rules of grammar so you can write in a proper way, then working with Candora would be about actually sitting down to create your own unique story by smelling many different scents and combining them into a true reflection of what you want it to be.
One thing that stands out in this is how much they encourage you to experiment.
You may think a combination won't work and then you try it... And surprise!
Here's what really sticks with me:
A strong focus on individualityLess rigid process
What you leave with feels personal (not just something you paid money for)
The atmosphere also matters. There are no judges. It is calm and not intimidating.
#3 L'Atelier Parfum
L’atelier Parfum is another that takes on the technical aspects as well. It is not complicated or overwhelming, just very detailed and exacting.
You are shown what creates longevity for certain notes. What causes other blends to fade rapidly.
How important it is to have harmony over potency.
It was more formalized than Candora. Yet again, in an excellent manner.
I did notice these about this location:
Each phase had clear reasoning.
A clearer understanding of perfume formulation.
More precision with the end product.
If you like to understand the why behind things, then this could be your best fit.
The environment seems much more aligned to how a professional perfumer would think.
Which Perfume is best in Paris?
Honestly, it really depends on what you are looking for in a perfume.
If you like simplicity and some guidance (that will help guide your scent choices) then The Studio of Perfumes would be a great choice.
If you prefer to have complete freedom of creativity (to create your own unique fragrance), I would suggest choosing Candora.
If you enjoy exploring perfumes through the technical aspects of fragrance creation and want to gain a deeper understanding of the many different ingredients that can be used in creating scents, then L’Atelier Parfum would be an excellent option.
Each one has its own merits.
My Final Words
Trying a customized perfume workshop in Paris changes how you view fragrances.
Once you have created your own unique scent (even if it's not ideal), you'll feel differently about your new fragrance. It will feel more personal.
If you are planning on visiting Paris or already live here, do not miss this opportunity. This is a very calm, concentrated and somewhat fulfilling experience.
